Why I Offer Direct Primary Care in Eagle, ID

After opening my aesthetic and wellness clinic, I had the privilege of caring for many patients who trusted me with their health. Over time, I kept hearing the same frustrations with traditional healthcare: rushed appointments, unanswered questions, and feeling like just another number.

As I expanded into hormone replacement therapy, advanced lab testing, heart monitoring, and sleep studies, it became clear that patients wanted more comprehensive, relationship-based care. They wanted a provider who could look at the full picture and walk alongside them, not just treat symptoms in a 10-minute visit.

Direct Primary Care grew directly from those conversations. This care model exists because of my patients, their trust, and their desire for accessible, thoughtful healthcare. My goal is to be a consistent partner in your health journey, someone you can turn to even when the answers are not obvious, and work together to find the best path forward.

FAQ

Clear answers. No guesswork.

Together, we build a plan that supports your health now and for years to come, with care that adapts as your life and needs change.
Can I use my HSA to pay for Direct Primary Care?

Yes. Starting January 1, 2026, the IRS allows qualified Direct Primary Care memberships to be paid tax-free from an HSA, up to monthly caps of $150 for individuals and $300 for families.

What changed in 2026?

Prior to 2026, DPC memberships were generally not HSA-eligible. New IRS guidance removed this restriction beginning January 1, 2026.

What makes a DPC membership HSA-compatible?

A qualifying DPC arrangement must:

• Provide primary care services
• Charge a fixed monthly fee
• Exclude non-primary care services
• Stay within IRS monthly fee caps

Can I contribute to an HSA while enrolled in DPC?

Yes. Starting in 2026, enrollment in a qualifying DPC plan no longer disqualifies you from contributing to an HSA

What if my DPC membership costs more than the IRS cap?

Your HSA can cover up to the IRS limit. Any remaining amount is paid with after-tax dollars. For example, if your membership is $200/month, $150 may be paid with HSA funds, totaling $1,800 per year in tax-free benefits.

Should I consult a tax professional?

Yes. This information summarizes IRS guidance but is not tax advice. Please consult your tax advisor for personalized recommendations.

What is Direct Primary Care?

Direct Primary Care (DPC) is a membership-based healthcare model where you pay a flat monthly fee for unlimited access to your primary care provider. This includes office visits, telehealth, preventive care, and ongoing support, without insurance involvement.

How is Direct Primary Care different from traditional care?

Unlike insurance-based practices, DPC allows for longer appointments, same-day or next-day scheduling, and direct communication with your provider. Care is relationship-driven, not volume-driven.

Does Direct Primary Care replace health insurance?

No. DPC covers your primary care needs. You will still need insurance for hospitalizations, surgeries, imaging, or specialist care. Many patients pair DPC with a high-deductible or catastrophic insurance plan.

What is included in my membership?

Your membership includes:

• Unlimited office visits
• Virtual visits
• Sick and acute care (including stitches and breathing treatments)
• Preventive care
• 10% off in-office treatments and products

How much does Direct Primary Care cost?

Most Direct Primary Care memberships range from $150–$300 per month for adults, depending on the practice. There are no copays or surprise bills.

Is Direct Primary Care good for families?

Yes. Many practices offer family plans and discounted rates for children.

Can I cancel my membership?

There is a 6-month minimum commitment, billed monthly on autopay. After six months, you may cancel at any time.

Why choose Direct Primary Care?

Patients choose DPC for better access, more personalized care, and peace of mind knowing their provider is available when they need support.
