Excessive Sweating Treatment

Treatment Overview

Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweat production) is a condition that we treat at ENHANCED Med Spa (in Eagle, ID) through the use of strategically-placed neurotoxin. A New England Journal of Medicine featured clinical study (VOL. 344 NO. 7) showed statiscally-significant reductions in sweat production with 98% of the study's patients saying they would recommend the treatment to others.

How does it work?

Neurotoxin has been shown to be an effective treatment option for hyperhidrosis. At ENHANCED An Aesthetic & Wellness Experience near Boise, we use tiny needles to inject neurotoxin into the skin. The neurotoxin works by blocking the nerve signals responsible for activating sweat glands, thus reducing sweating in the treated area.

Is There Discomfort

Minimum to no pain can be expected. ENHANCED Medical Spa staff use small diameter needles and distraction tools to help minimize any discomfort. People tolerate the procedure very well.

Is there Down Time?

No downtime. You can go back to work and your daily activities right after the procedure. Some clients may experience minor swelling, redness, or bruising at the injection site, which usually resolves within a few hours (to a few days). No working out, saunas, hot tubs, nor excessive sun exposure for 24 hours.

Duration & Frequency?

The effects of this treatment can last up to six months; at which point, clients will likely need another treatment.

What other treatments does it work well with?
