TMJ Treatment

Treatment Overview

Temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ) is a condition that affects the joint and muscles in the jaw and causes pain, discomfort, and movement difficulty. At ENHANCED An Aesthetic & Wellness Experience located in downtown Eagle, we use neurotoxin to treat TMJ. It is best to see a dentist before treatment to rule out other disorders or problems. This treatment can be used alone or in conjunction with other therapies, such as physical therapy, medication, and lifestyle modifications. It can provide temporary relief from TMJ symptoms; however, this is not a permanent solution nor does it address the underlying causes of the condition. Neurotoxins have proven successful in symptom management and improvement in the quality of life for those individuals with TMJ.
